Our Environmental Commitment
Transchem Group has been a leader in the development of environmentally friendly car wash and car care products, and has helped establish the guidelines for the Canadian government’s Ecologo Certification Criteria Document for Commercial Car Wash Services.
Transchem Group is recognized as a Champion of the EPA’s (Environmental Protection Agency’s) Design for the Environment Program’s Safer Detergents Stewardship Initiative (SDSI); this is the highest level of recognition under the SDSI.
Transchem Group only utilizes ingredients that meet environmental regulations and formulates to meet all municipal, provincial/state and federal sewer-use by-laws. Our formulas do not contain phosphates, Ammonium Bifluoride (ABF) or Hydrofluoric acid (HF).
It is our policy to not use any Alkyl Phenol or Nonyl Phenol ethoxylated surfactants in any formulations. We only work with raw materials suppliers that have surfactants listed on Cleangredients. Surfactants must meet the requirements of Cleangredients or the European Detergent Directive or exceed the biodegradability requirements of EcoLogo™ Certification Criteria Document for UL-2770: Commercial Car Wash Services.
